This fully stocked 1800 square foot cottage (house) has
everything you need! Just bring your sheets, towels, and
food and you are ready to go.
Located just 20 minutes to Mount Pleasant (Soaring
Eagle Casino and Resort and Central Michigan
University) and Big Rapids (Home of Ferris State
University), this newly built cottage offers lots to do in
every season.
Spring time is a great time for fishing, boating, and the
lake is usually ready for swimming before Memorial Day.
The kids love to catch frogs, bugs, and turtles. It is also
fun to see the cranes, ducks, and geese nesting on the
island. Every year the baby goslings waddle across the
front yard and honk! The house faces west so you have
a great view of the sun setting over the lake. Relax in
front of the camp fire and roast marshmallows and hot
dogs.
The summer time is a blast because the cottage sits on
Tubbs Lake which is approximately 150 acre all-sport
Lake with some of the best fishing in the county. Tubbs
Lake is one of ten inter-connected lakes on the Martiny
Chain of Lakes which all together consists of 2080 acres
of all-sport fun. We have a 20 foot long dock and a
pontoon to rent if you want to enjoy all 10 lakes.
The fall brings duck hunting season and Tubbs lake is a
state certified water fowl area and is a premiere location
for hunting. For those interested in hunting, the cottage
is surrounded by state land and deer farms. We also
have a fire pit to gather around for camp fires on cool fall
nights.
Winter brings ice fishing at its best! Just walk out the
back door and fish, no shanty needed. For your
children, the house has its own sledding hills on either
side of the house. When the lake is frozen just sweep off
the snow and ice skate or break out the cross country
skis and ski for miles. The cottage is only 15 minutes
from hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails (click here)
and there is plenty of snowmobile fun on the 2080 acres
of lakes too! Also there is no problem with parking for
your sleds, just park them lake side. After a long day of
winter fun come and enjoy the gas log fireplace to warm
up.
